User Agreement of the Online Shop for Consumers

  1. General

These terms and conditions concerning orders and use (“Terms and Conditions”) apply to the use of the Desico online shop and the orders placed through the shop. By using the online shop, you accept these Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them. We reserve the right to change and update the contents, prices and selection of the online shop and these Terms and Conditions. If we make substantial changes to our Terms and Conditions or our Privacy Statement, we aim to announce these changes e.g. on our website.

  1. Registration

3.1. An order can be placed as a registered customer of the online shop or without registration. When placing the first order, the consumer is required to:

  1. a)  provide their name and any other information requested
  2. b)  provide their consent for Desico Oy to register the personal data in its customer database. The customer information of Desico Oy is confidential. Desico Oy agrees not to disclose customer information to others.

3.2. The consumer must practice care and diligence when using the online shop.

  1. Validity of the Order

4.1. Communication between the parties is done by e-mail. Our expert staff is at your service and happy to answer any inquiries and questions about orders on weekdays from 10.00 am – 4.00 pm, After placing an order, the consumer agrees to check their e-mail to receive the order confirmation.

4.2. The sales agreement becomes valid when Desico Oy sends an order confirmation by e-mail.

4.3. The consumer has the right to cancel the order in part or in full by e-mail  before the delivery of the order. Delivery is considered completed once the order has been delivered to the consumer or the consumer has been sent a notification that the order can be picked up from a Posti or Matkahuolto outlet.

4.4. After the consumer has placed an order, Desico Oy does not have the right to change the terms of agreement.

  1. Prices

5.1. All prices include VAT 24%. The prices shown in the online shop are valid. The valid prices are given in euros (EUR).

  1. Delivery

6.1. If the product is in stock, the estimated delivery time is between two and five (2–5) weekdays. If the product is temporarily or permanently out of stock, we will notify the consumer immediately and also let them know if the delivery time will be longer.

6.2 We will state on the product description page if the delivery time differs significantly from what is stated in section 6.1.

6.3. If it is imperative that the consumer receives the product by a certain day, they must explicitly state this e.g. when placing the order. We try to fulfil the consumer’s wishes, if possible.

6.4. If the consumer buys products that have been assigned different delivery times by Desico Oy, the order is delivered according to the longest delivery time assigned.

6.5. Desico Oy delivers products only to Finland (abroad only by separate agreement). All the deliveries of Desico Oy are handled by the Finnish postal service, Posti, or Matkahuolto. If the consumer wants to use a different delivery service, the prices and terms shall be agreed upon separately with Desico Oy.

6.6. Delivery to Finland from Desico’s online shop ( costs EUR 12.90 per order. If the sum total of the order is over EUR 70, delivery is free to Finland. 

  1. Terms of Payment

All the prices in the online shop are in euros and include value-added tax according to Finnish law.

The payment transfer service in Desico’s online shop is provided by Paytrail Plc, and its terms and conditions can be found here. Paytrail Plc is shown as the recipient on the bank statement or credit card invoice and transfers the payment to the vendor. The accepted payment methods in our online shop are electronic bank transfers, card payments and invoices.

When selling or transporting products outside the EU area, the recipient of the product is accountable for local taxes, customs duties and other similar costs.

  1. Returns

8.1. The consumer has the right to return unused products ordered through the online shop within fourteen (14) days of receiving the product(s), excluding the day of receipt. The returned product and product packaging must be in the same condition as it was at the time of receipt.

8.2. The consumer shall send a return notification by e-mail to before returning the product. The consumer will receive a reply including our return ID, which should be written on top of the parcel. The parcel should then be taken to the nearest postal outlet where an address label will be printed for the parcel based on the return ID. Returns should be sent to the following address: Asiakaspalautus, Desico Oy Navettatie 4 10470 Fiskars. After receiving a product that meets the terms for return, we will reimburse the price of the product to the bank account provided by the consumer. We charge a handling fee of EUR 12.90 for returned orders. 

8.4. Failure to pick up a parcel is not the same as a return. A product is considered to be cancelled when the product has not been picked up from the point of delivery and no notification of cancellation has been made. We charge the full delivery fee of EUR 12.90 for any parcels that are not picked up.

8.5. In the case of product exchanges, a delivery fee of EUR 12.90 is charged for sending a new product in Finland. 

8.5. The customer pays the charges of any returns from Europe in full.

  1. Deliveries Damaged in Transport

9.1. Despite careful packaging, parcels may sometimes be damaged during postal delivery. It is therefore important to inspect the parcel in the presence of a post-office employee when collecting it. If the parcel has been damaged in transport and the ordered product(s) is/are also damaged, report the damage immediately at the post office or Matkahuolto outlet. After this, please contact our customer service to agree on the delivery of a new product.

  1. Notice of Defect

10.1. If the incorrect product has been delivered to the consumer or there is a clear defect in the product, the consumer must notify Desico Oy about the issue within a reasonable time, within 14 days at the latest, either by e-mail to or by calling +358 (0) 19 237 070. The incorrect order shall be returned free of postage according to the instructions provided by Desico Oy (section 6). The order shall be returned after sending a notice of defect. Upon receipt of the returned goods, Desico Oy will return any payments of the purchase price to the customer without delay.

The consumer shall take into account that the colours of the pictured products are for reference only and minor differences in colours occur between different manufacturing batches. Minor differences in colour are not grounds for a notice of defect.

  1. Force majeure

11.1. Desico Oy shall not be liable for failed, hindered or delayed delivery of an order due to causes beyond Desico Oy’s control, such as wars, natural catastrophes, export or import prohibitions, decisions by a governmental authority, general disturbances in transportation and other similar acts that hinder or prevent the operations of Desico Oy.

  1. Conflict Resolution

12.1. Any disputes and differences arising out of this sales agreement are to be settled in accordance with the Finnish law.
